After a few months of drawing up plans and back and fourths with the client, New Edition Bookshop has finally opened it’s tiny cafe – The Grumpy Sailor.  Pop in next time you’re in Northbridge for a coffee – I hear it’s good.

An that note, if you’re in Freo, there’s also another Grumpy Sailor which we helped design.  The bagels there are amazing.

Here at monk we have fallen in love with the beautiful and oh so charming illustration styles of Matte Stephens. Matte uses the most beautiful colour pallets and creates gorgeous little scenes, they are a constant source of inspiration. So,thank you Mr Matte Stephens.

So the other day Peter (Paul brother) decided to order a Little Piano, much to our delight  it was posted to our office so we got to have a jam on it before Peter got his hands on it. This little piano is so cool, although the tiny keys make Bach a little difficult to play, but we had our fair share of jazz played on it. I think a jam session at monk is soon in order!

After a few weeks of Matt complaining we decided to shift around the office a bit.
